I agree and desagree with what I have read so in shiver that it is like twilight and heres why. It's like it because it has the two teen lovers with a human and another mythical creature who would die to protect each other. But it is very much unlike it because the main charcter in my opinion is much smarter then twilights Bella. She figures out Sams secret very early on in the book and enconters him in a very diffrent manor then Bella did in Twilight with Edward.

Honestly, I feel that this is extremely different from twilight. I've read twilight and I really liked it, but I think this is better. There wasn't any guessing as to what Sam is, he just straight up tells you he's a werewolf from the beginning. It's so interesing and It's very easy to get swept away with the plot. This is a very good book, and it is supernatual, but I dont think I would compare it to twilight, especially because there are so many other supernatural books out there.

I think it's completly different from twilight. Twillight i think is more about the vampires than anythink and its more about vampires fighting warewolves than anything.Shiver is more about warewolves that try to stay hidden more than anything and that they only change human in the summer is one of the contrastes between them.

I thougt when I first started reading the book that it would be another boy meets girl they fall in love story but it actually has more depth in it then that. It has more twists and turns then excpected and the point of view changing from grace to sam is a very nice touch.

I thought it would just be like another version to twlight but in a different form and its not like that at all. It's actually a really good book.i really like how it does give more than one persone's thoughts in it and i like how it changes views from Grace to sam throughout the book.

I really enjoy this book! I was expecting it to be a little like twilight, which i also enjoyed, but this book is completely different. They both do involve werewolves, but other than that the stories are completely different. I feel like this love story was better than Twilight, and it kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. This book has a great plot and surprising plot twists.

I think Grace is actually affected by a lot of her setting. Since she lives next to the woods, she interacts with the wolves more than others do, which sparks her unusual interest in them. It’s really interesting that she still loves and understands the wolves even though she was attacked by them when she was young. If I were in her position I would be a lot more careful around them, but that also means I probably wouldn’t have any connection with Sam once he becomes human. I think Grace feels that she belongs with the wolves since she was bitten and should’ve turned into a werewolf, but didn’t because she was trapped in extreme heat which makes the werewolves take on their human form. I’m not sure if it would work, but if I were Grace I would try to put Sam in extreme heat to see if he could become permanently human, so they could be together.

I agree because she does interacts with the wolves more then others do and she been interacting with them for yeas too. Also the fact that she was attacted be them as a child and isn't really afraed of them, she actuly interested in them more so than ever because of when they attacked her.

I think the town and the place she lived affected her because she lived next to the woods and always saw the wolves and wasn’t really afraid of them but she still was a little afraid of them from when they attracted her. I think if I had adapt to her environment I think I would want to know as much as I could about them because of the attack. I would want to go in to the woods and try and find them and see what their all about because there supposed to be peaceful animals and I would want to know why they attacked me.

That's a really cool thought. I didn't even think about trying to figure out why they attacked her, I would've probably just been scared and kept my distance.

Grace’s parents need to step up and act like parents. They have responsibilities, such as Grace, so they cannot just go out and party all night. They have gone days without seeing Grace and haven’t even been the slightest bit concerned. Grace has had a boy sleeping in her bed for at least a week and they did not even know she had a boyfriend. I think they probably act this way because they just don’t really care that much; they care more about themselves. I see this as wrong because as a parent you are supposed to guide your child and take care of them; her parents are not even close to being good parents. The only time Grace’s mom actually acted like a mom was when Grace was bitten/ attacked by the wolves and that only lasted for a few moments. I suggest Grace’s parents step up to the plate and start paying more attention to their daughter.

Grace's parents should step up becouse its not right that they dont really care about what Grace is doing or whats going on in her life.Every parent should care alot about there kids but grace's parent care more about themselves. They should start paying more attection to Grace's daily life

Ya, i think that Grace's parents should have their own lives and be interested in their own things, but they are still parents. They should act like it and appreiate their daughter before she leaves.

I disagree with how Grace has been having her boyfriend Sam spending the night every night. I also disagree with how Grace’s parents are with her because there never around and they don’t even know that a boy has been sleeping in her bed with her each night. Grace’s parents are responsible for this because they aren’t parenting her like they should be and they don’t really seem like they care about her that much. The only time they have acted like parents to her is when she got attracted each time by the wolves and that’s not right. Grace’s parents should be active in her life so they know what’s going on with her.

I comletely agree with you. Grace's parents need to pay attention to her and care for her. they need to act like actual parents.I dont really agree with her getting close to Sam that fast either, they shouldve taken some time to get to know eachother better. Her parents need to try to be better.

One really important event that occurred was when Sam got shot. Sam had been a wolf at the time and it was already fall. Sam probably wasn’t going to change back into his human form ever again. Since he was shot, he did change back into a human, even if it is temporary. This conflict was important because if it didn’t happen, then Sam and Grace would’ve never actually met in human form or fallen in love with each other. The book would have been very boring if Sam hadn’t changed into a human because we wouldn’t really be able to see Sam and Grace together. I was scared at first when Sam was shot until he turned into a human and healed quickly, after that I was kind of excited to see Sam and Grace together. I don’t want Sam to turn back into a wolf, I feel like him and Grace belong together, and things would be very complicated between them if they were different species.

Sam getting shot is one really important event in the book becaouse it is pretty much the foundation of the book. Without Sam being shot there really wouldn't be a book with is why its such a major event in the book. Also their love story wouldn't have taken place either.

One important event that happened was when Sam got shot in the neck when he was a wolf and it changed him back into his human form. This is impotent because it is a lot of the foundation of the story in the book. Without Sam being shot there wouldn’t be a story. Since Sam was shot he and Grace got into a relationship, and they then were able to help out with Jack because he was bitten too. Aslo everything in the story wouldn’t of happened if Sam didn’t get shot because most of its about them being to together and what they do together.

I completely agree. The story would have been extremely bland if Sam had not been shot because it would pretty much just entail Grace staring at the woods and incomplete thoughts from Sam in wolf form. Not to mention that Grace's obsession with the wolves would seem really creepy since they are not actual humans.

A theme that is meaningful to me is that love can repair anything. This is important to the book because Sam and Grace are madly in love. In fact they have loved each other since the first time they saw each other; it was love at first sight. In the book, while Grace and Sam are in the candy shop, Grace even mentions that it was love at first sight, and the worker says that it is obvious how in love they are. It’s also important to the book because no one really loved Sam before, so this new love makes him forget the pain of his past. This theme is meaningful to me because I think love is a really important aspect of life, and I believe that it can fix almost every situation. For instance, Grace made Sam feel safe, so he wasn’t scared of his past anymore. In the end, Sam finally became human; he was healed and love is a major part of what gave him the power and motive to be human, so he can stay with Grace.

I agree that there love is love at first sight and that it makes him forget the pain in his past.It also motavates him to become human end the end witch I think is a major deal espishly with the love that they have for eachother in the book and that they are together at the end.

The theme is anything is possible. The theme is shown through some of the events that happen in the book. One of the events is that the wolves can changed back and forth between human and wolves and no one really knows except Grace and a couple other find out thought out the story. Another event that proves that anything I possible is that there was a cure for the wolves to change them back to human forever. If anything that proves that anything is possible. I think thought out the entire book there were proving the theme true in one way or another through there actions.
